So now you are a big girl, you are leaving for college in a few days and you are so much exited with packing your favorite clothes that completely forget about such boring thing as doing the laundry or something of this kind. But at the end of the first week of you college life you realize that most of your precious clothes is lying dirty in the basket. You are shocked, you’ve never thought about how your mom always keeps all clothes washed clean.
You don’t have to be so worried! Everything is very easy. So take the basket full of dirty stinky things and examine it carefully. Why? There are small tags on each of your blouse or a pair of jeans. These patches contain very important information for the washing. After reading each tag, separate your clothes into the piles: the first pile – lights/cold water: white, pastels or light gray plus anything that can shrink in hot water. The second pile: darks/cold water: black, dark greens, red, dark blues or anything that can change the color and spoil all the other clothes or shrink in hot water. The third pile – lights/hot water: light colored shirts, pants or socks that can not get washed clean in cold water and pick up bleeding. And the fourth pile – darks/hot water: jeans, socks, dark sweatshirts – anything that must be well cleaned.
“Dry Clean Only” means that you clothes can’t be washed in the washing machine, you can use a Dryel, it works well.
Next – put your clothes into the washing machine and add some detergent (better liquid) but don’t overload it as the machine may tear your thins or even leave them unwashed.
The next step is setting the machine. Here you select the correct setting: Cold/Cold temp setting – for delicate clothes, Hot/Warm temp setting – for regular loads, Hot/Hot setting – for really dirty clothes. Then select the load size: if the machine is half loaded – the small load, if half the load – the medium load, more than half – large load. Select the time of washing with a dial and wait. It may take about 30-45 minutes.
Now dry your clothes in the dryer (make sure that the lint tramp is empty), select the temperature you want to dry your clothes on and the time of the procedure. Sit and wait for your clothes to be clean and dried.
The first laundry is successfully completed, now you can relax till the next one.
